Another original method developed at Prague Fertility Centre is OptimFert – its goal is also to increase the success rate of your fertility treatment. This is a method to determine when the egg is mature enough and ready for fertilization via intracytoplasmic sperm injection, or ICSI. This important moment is a significantly dominant factor affecting the quality of the embryo. The non-invasive OptimFert method is based on monitoring the oocytes – mature eggs – in a laboratory environment using polarizing microscopy. This can be used in IVF cycles with both fresh and frozen eggs.
