The International Centre for Reproductive Medicine (ICRM) was established in 1992 in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, as a satellite center of the Reproductive Genetics Institute in Chicago (RGI). The Reproductive Genetics Institute is recognized worldwide for its achievements in infertility treatment and preimplantation diagnosis of genetic disorders (PGD). Regular professional training, participation in international workshops and conferences, visits and work in best world clinics, cooperation with RGI – these are the factors ensuring a high professional level of the ICRM staff. The synergy of professional experience, new generation equipment, and state-of-the-art technology made ICRM the leading centre in the country in infertility treatment. Since 1992 with our assistance more than 15,000 children have been born who live with their parents not only in Russia, but also in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Holland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, USA, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and other countries.

For the first time in Russia and the CIS, ICRM initiated and successfully implemented unique  reproductive medicine programs and IVF programs to overcome infertility of almost any origin as well as PGD.

High qualification of our physicians, embryologists, and geneticists make for respect and trust on the part of our patients as well as recognition and prestige among colleagues. ICRM supervised and directly participated in establishing several clinics in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Cyprus. We developed a special training program in assisted reproductive technologies (ART) for physicians and embryologists. More than 60 professionals trained at ICRM now work in different regions of the country and abroad.

Our staff has been actively engaged in research work, which resulted in 186 published papers, including manuals and guidelines, like the first in Russia guidelines for doctors and embryologists on assisted reproductive technologies.

We have in place systems of internal and external quality control of medical practice. ICRM is a member of national and European Register of ART (EIM ESHRE). We report the results of our work to ESHRE and ICMART and bear responsibility as for their confidentiality. We always try to adhere to the highest moral and ethical principles accepted by contemporary medicine and biology. MCRM was the first centre in Saint-Petersburg that was licensed and accredited as “The Centre of Highest Professional Category”.

Average pregnancy rate is 54% per embryo transfer and in the group under 40 it was more than 59 %.

We continue improving quality of our work and incorporate the latest achievements of global medical science (IVF) in our everyday practice. We analyze our results on a weekly basis and do everything to increase the number of successful pregnancies. Aware of general tendencies, we can forecast that the success rate is higher with patients under 34 years of age. However, every patient has her own chance determined by dozens of factors.
